When I started almost a year ago, I was having stomach issues and I was very over weight and not active what so ever. As of today, I’m active again, not rotting in the bed all the time. The vagus nerve (nervous system connecting brain to body) and gut microbiome (trillions of microorganisms in the digestive system) are key players in this connection, allowing essential signals and neurotransmitters to be sent back and forth.
Continuous research has shown the importance of the gut-brain connection on holistic wellness. The gut significantly impacts mental/emotional wellness and vice versa. This is why I focus on this connection within my coaching practice!
