Where I Started:
A few years ago, I realized that I was experiencing a lot of negative symptoms in my health, such as gut issues, consistent low energy, and weight issues. I decided that I needed to make a change and began introducing healthier foods, mindful eating, and exercise into my life. This is where my interest in health and nutrition began, as the change I experienced impacted every aspect of my life.
The Impacts of This Change:
As I began introducing these healthier habits to lose weight, I was shocked at how attainable weight loss really was. With that being said, I realized that this change wasn’t only impacting my weight. As time went on, I saw that my mental, physical, and overall well-being had shifted. I gained energy, reduced my stress and brain fog, and experienced one of the most drastic changes to my relationship with food.
My Relationship with Food:
For years, I experienced inconsistent eating patterns and emotional eating. This caused me to develop an unhealthy relationship with food where I wasn’t eating consistently, developed digestive issues, gained weight, and experienced irregular mental/emotional states. After practicing mindful eating and focusing on gut-nourishing foods, I had a complete mental, physical, and emotional shift. I felt more energized, reached a weight I felt good at, and improved my gut health!
